Australian Homeopathic Association Professional Members to receive Medibank Provider status

AHA Professional Members to receive Medibank Provider status.From 1 July 2009, all AHA Professional Members will receive provider status with Medibank Private. Each practitioner will be issued with their own Medibank Private provider number, after which time they will become active providers.
People who have insurance coverage for homoeopathy via Medibank Private will therefore be able to claim rebates for consultations with AHA Professional Members.
With the introduction of the new accreditation rules for private health funds, Medibank Private initiated a site audit of all complementary medicine associations, including the Australian Register of Homoeopaths (AROH). AROH passed the audit criteria with 100% score. All Professional Members of the AHA are registered with AROH.
The majority of private health insurers provide rebates for homoeopathic consultations by registered practitioners.
